Self-Cleaning Backwash Filter Screen Element
- Family: Filter Elements
- Standard: Custom to filter housing
Mesh layers, powder or fibers bonded in a vacuum furnace into rigid porous filters. 19 products in the catalog are made with this process.
Layers of woven mesh, metal powder or metal fibers are pressed and heated in a vacuum or hydrogen furnace just below melting point, so the touching wires or particles diffuse into one another and fuse. The result is a rigid porous plate, tube or felt that can be cut, rolled and welded.
Ratings from about 0.5 µm (powder) to 200 µm (mesh laminate); stainless 316L, Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, nickel, titanium and bronze.
Strong, cleanable filters for high pressure and temperature, back-washing, catalyst recovery, gas and polymer filtration.
Higher cost than woven cloth, and powder parts are less ductile — they dislike bending and impact.
Specify micron rating together with permeability or allowable pressure drop, and the welding or fitting details.

Send the part drawing and the quantity; we will confirm the best process and quote within one business day.
