How it is made
Woven mesh, etched foil or perforated sheet is pressed between matched dies into cups, cones, domes and baskets, or spun and rolled into shape, often with rims rolled or crimped on in the same operation.
What the process can do
Cups from a few millimeters to baskets over 300 mm; domes, cones, flanges and rims.
Best for
Coffee cones, espresso baskets, strainer cups, speaker grilles, fuel and appliance inlet filters.
Limits
Deep draws stretch the mesh, so the aperture changes on the walls.

State which surface is critical and the aperture after forming, not only before.
