Holes and slots punched through sheet and plate in round, slotted and hexagonal patterns. 40 products in the catalog are made with this process.
Sheet or coil is fed through a multi-pin press that punches a row of holes with every stroke, building the pattern across the sheet. Slots, squares and hexagons use shaped punches. Sheets are then levelled, cut, rolled into drums or formed.
Holes from about 0.5 mm (in thin sheet) up to 100 mm; thickness 0.3–20 mm; open area roughly 5–60 %; steel, stainless, aluminum, copper and brass.
Strong, flat screening and support parts — drum screens, grilles, filter cores, press screens and trommel panels.
Holes are generally not smaller than the sheet thickness, and very fine patterns are slow and costly to punch.
State hole size, pitch, pattern (60° staggered or straight), margins and which face may carry the punch burr.
