How it is made
V-shaped profile wire is wound or laid onto support rods and resistance-welded at every contact, holding a constant slot width. The slot widens behind the face, so particles pass instead of jamming.
What the process can do
Slots from about 0.05 mm to 10 mm; flat panels, sieve bends, cylinders and false bottoms; stainless and duplex.
Best for
Dewatering, well and intake screens, lauter tun false bottoms and backwash filters where non-clogging slots matter.
Limits
Lower open area than woven mesh and higher cost per square meter.
