Slot size: Width × length, e.g. 1 × 10 mm; the width controls retention.
Pattern: Staggered slots for strength, straight rows for maximum open area.
Orientation: State whether slots run along or across the material flow.
Materials
Standard supply is stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316/316L, brass, copper; the material column in the table and the drawing options show the exact grade for each size. Other alloys and finishes can be quoted to your drawing.

Support long spans — slotted sheet is less stiff across the slots.
