How it is made
After fabrication parts are cleaned and finished: stainless is passivated or electropolished for a smooth, hygienic surface; nickel parts are hard-chromium plated for wear; aluminum is anodized; steel is galvanized, e-coated or powder coated; electrode media receive platinum or MMO coatings.
What the process can do
Electropolish Ra ≤ 0.4 µm; hard chrome 5–20 µm; anodize 10–25 µm in colours; powder coat 60–120 µm; Pt / Ir flash coatings for electrolyzers.
Best for
Food and medical parts, visible grilles, wear-loaded screens, outdoor and automotive parts, electrolyzer media.
Limits
Coatings narrow fine apertures — specify the opening after finishing.
