Wire Crimping & Heavy Weaving
Wire pre-crimped before weaving so heavy screens and belts keep their opening under load. 8 products in the catalog are made with this process.
How it is made
Each wire is run through toothed rolls that press a wave (double, intermediate, lock or flat-top crimp) into it before weaving. The crimps lock the crossing points, so coarse cloth with thick wire stays square and does not shift. Conveyor belts are built the same way from crimped spirals joined by cross rods.
What the process can do
Openings about 1–100 mm; wire 0.8–12 mm in 65Mn high-carbon, stainless and heat-resisting alloys; panels with hook strips, belts to several metres wide.
Best for
Vibrating screens, quarry and mining decks, security and guard mesh, oven and fryer conveyor belts.
Limits
Not for fine filtration — below about 1 mm a plain weave without pre-crimp is used.
