Electroformed Nickel Micro Sieve is used for precision sieving of very fine powders and particles from 5 to 30 µm with electroformed nickel foil sieves whose holes are grown to tight, uniform tolerances. ISO 3310-3 is the reference cited for it on drawings, datasheets and purchase orders.
What ISO 3310-3 Means for Electroformed Nickel Micro Sieve
The dimensions in the table below are supplied to suit ISO 3310-3. Where the standard sets requirements for the finished appliance, device or system, compliance testing of that assembly stays with its manufacturer; we supply the metal mesh part to the drawing and can provide material certificates and dimensional reports with the shipment.
Electroformed Nickel Micro Sieve Dimensions
| Aperture (mm) | Frame diameter (mm) | Frame height (mm) | Aperture tolerance (u00b5m) | Foil thickness (mm) | Hole shape |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.005 | 75 | 25 | u00b12 | 0.010 | Square |
| 0.010 | 75 | 25 | u00b12 | 0.015 | Square |
| 0.020 | 200 | 50 | u00b12 | 0.020 | Round |
| 0.030 | 200 | 50 | u00b12 | 0.025 | Round |
Specifying Electroformed Nickel Micro Sieve Beyond the Standard
- Aperture: 5–30 µm holes, square or round, per ISO 3310-3.
- Frame: 75 mm for micro work; 200 mm to fit standard sieve stacks.
- Sieving method: Use wet or air-jet sieving — dry tapping blinds fine foil sieves.
When Electroformed Nickel Micro Sieve Is Not the Right Choice
Not for coarse or heavy samples, which deform the thin foil.
