Specifying Espresso Filter Basket (Precision Perforated) Beyond the Standard
- Diameter & depth: Match the portafilter: 51, 54 or 58 mm, and a depth that suits the dose so the screen does not imprint the puck.
- Hole size & count: Precision baskets hold 0.28–0.30 mm holes within a few microns over the whole floor; pressurized baskets use one exit hole.
- Spring groove: Specify the retaining-spring groove position for the portafilter brand or the basket will fall out when knocking.
