Photo-Etched Precision Filter Disc is used for filtering, metering and diffusing fluids through thin stainless discs whose holes are chemically etched to an exact pattern — burr-free, stress-free and far more uniform than woven mesh. Custom to drawing (ISO 2768-f) is the reference cited for it on drawings, datasheets and purchase orders.
What Custom to drawing (ISO 2768-f) Means for Photo-Etched Precision Filter Disc
The dimensions in the table below are supplied to suit Custom to drawing (ISO 2768-f). Where the standard sets requirements for the finished appliance, device or system, compliance testing of that assembly stays with its manufacturer; we supply the metal mesh part to the drawing and can provide material certificates and dimensional reports with the shipment.

Specifying Photo-Etched Precision Filter Disc Beyond the Standard
- Hole size vs thickness: Etched holes are normally at least the sheet thickness; thinner foil allows smaller holes.
- Pattern: Any hole shape, pitch and keep-out zone — supply a DXF so the tool matches your part exactly.
- Material: SS304/316L, nickel, copper or titanium foil from 0.03 to 0.5 mm.
When Photo-Etched Precision Filter Disc Is Not the Right Choice
Not for very thick plates over about 1 mm, where punching, drilling or laser cutting is more economical.
