316L Stainless Steel Gutter Guard Micro-Mesh

Close-up of a roof gutter covered with an aluminum frame gutter guard topped with fine stainless steel micro-mesh

Gutter Guard Micro-Mesh in 316L Stainless Steel (AISI 316L (1.4404)) is used for keeping leaves, pine needles and debris out of rain gutters while letting water pass through a stainless micro-mesh on an aluminum frame. The alloy gives superior resistance, including chlorides, brines, food CIP and mild acids and is essentially non-magnetic, with a practical service limit of approx. +550 °C continuous.

Where 316L Stainless Steel Gutter Guard Micro-Mesh Is Used

  • Roofing contractors: gutter protection upsells on re-roof jobs.
  • Homeowners in wooded areas: stopping pine needles and seed pods.
  • Wildfire-zone retrofits: ember-resistant gutters per local codes.
  • Commercial buildings: low-maintenance gutters on tall structures.

Ordering Gutter Guard Micro-Mesh in 316L Stainless Steel

  • Gutter width: Profile must suit 5 in or 6 in K-style gutters.
  • Micro-mesh: SS316 woven micro-mesh stops pine needles; perforated aluminum alone suits large leaves only.
  • Pitch: Install with a slight downward slope so debris slides off.

Mistakes to Avoid with Gutter Guard Micro-Mesh

  • Choosing perforated-only guards under pine trees.
  • Flat installation that lets debris mat on top.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will micro-mesh overflow in heavy rain?

A properly pitched guard handles typical rainfall; extreme downpours may overshoot any guard.

Stainless or aluminum mesh?

Stainless micro-mesh resists corrosion and keeps its fine opening for decades.
