Hydrophobic Mesh Moisture-Eliminator Air Filter in 316L Stainless Steel (AISI 316L (1.4404)) is used for stripping rain and mist droplets out of outdoor air intakes so water does not soak downstream filters, coils and ductwork. The alloy gives superior resistance, including chlorides, brines, food CIP and mild acids and is essentially non-magnetic, with a practical service limit of approx. +550 °C continuous.

Where 316L Stainless Steel Hydrophobic Mesh Moisture-Eliminator Air Filter Is Used
- Rooftop units & AHUs: fresh-air intake moisture eliminators.
- Marine & offshore HVAC: salt-mist removal on ships and platforms.
- Generator & turbine rooms: air-intake protection.
- Data centers: outside-air economizer intakes.
Ordering Hydrophobic Mesh Moisture-Eliminator Air Filter in 316L Stainless Steel
- Face velocity: Keep below about 3 m/s or droplets re-entrain.
- Media: Knitted SS304/316 layered with polypropylene for droplet capture.
- Drainage: Provide a drain path at the bottom of the frame.
Mistakes to Avoid with Hydrophobic Mesh Moisture-Eliminator Air Filter
- Running above the rated face velocity, which carries water through.
- Leaving no drain path so water pools in the frame.
